January can be marked as a month of planning for changes. This means business changes (adding distribution), Add-On planning (digging into how a second tilt adjustment can be added), and location changes (working through the details to get into Europe).

XOOT will be added to a third-party retailer
I don’t want to jinx things by naming the retailer too early, but soon you should be able to buy a XOOT_Pro via a popular online retailer. By having our arms for sale on the same site with pen displays gives you a one-stop shop for your digital art needs.
In preparation for this, we’ve had to re-think how to explain XOOT_Pro in terms of their website. For example, here’s a new video that covers some of our key features. A lot of these changes will end up migrating back to the main XOOT website.
New Add-On Work
There are a lot more people out there using XOOT_Pro. In turn, this generates a lot more comments like, “I love it but if it had ( . . . ) it would be even better.” These are great comments, it guides the development of our next features.
XOOT_Pro was designed to be modified and making Add-Ons is a way to try new ideas and improve the product.
Here are 2 features we’re working on:
– A second degree of tilt to fine-tune the angle/elevation of the screen. This request has been out there for a while. However, there are a lot of compilations in implementing it. We’ve collected several ideas to try and we’re in the early stages of feasibility testing.
– An integrated reference monitor arm. Most digital artists have multiple monitors at their desks. Having a monitor that’s always directly behind your pen display would help the workflow for many artists. We’re working on solutions for this.
These are big features and there’s no timeline for having them ready. We’re just letting you know that we hear you and we’re working on finding solutions.
